Last Days of Summer

Spent the last days of my summer evading freelance work and catching up with things that have long been set aside.

That includes randomly doing DIY projects out of impulse, lol. Painted on some canvases with chalkboard paint for random lettering projects I do when I have time.

Either way, the past two days this week have been the best ways to cap off my summer. :-)

Went way up north to have lunch at Stacy’s with achi Tricie. Such a beautiful and homey restaurant and the food was delicious!

Also had our travel meeting that afternoon. Almost a month countdown to our Southeast Asia trip – and to think we’ve discussed this last year. Time flies too fast!

I feel like I neglected my childhood a bit ‘cause I never got to learn how to ride a bicycle. Well, I could, but with training wheels…so that probably doesn’t count, lol. And since Tricie & I are traveling this July to some countries that enable cycling, I had to learn.

And well, let’s admit it, I want to learn, too!

Adventures around Tricie’s village to cap off the day. The rain was cooperating, in fairness. And in all fairness to me, I tried my best. Tried. Super grateful for Tricie for patiently teaching me! What an experience. Hopefully I get to balance well once our trip commences.

Just had to say that Albert Einstein’s quote (Life is like a bicycle, in order to keep your balance, you must keep moving) is so accurate in many levels. And very applicable to my bike riding experience, lol.

Had brunch at Cafe Shibuya yesterday with Merphi, who was one of the earlier friends I’ve made here on Tumblr. (The internet does a lot of wonders, I tell you.) We finally were both free to meet up and it was such an amazing Tuesday morning!

The food and ambiance here is forever A+. It’s always my go-to place in UP Town Center because of its conducive space and feel that makes it a great place to catch up on loooong conversations with people.

It’s nice to always know that there are fellow creatives out there who have the same visions and goals as you do, and that’s what I found in Merphi. We spent most of the morning talking about our dreams and goals and our action plans to get there. The future is pretty unsure yet but I’m so excited and I’m definitely sure that the two of us will be working together on something sometime soon. <3

This “summer” (or my so-called holiday off from life) has been an amazing and irreplaceable one. Today, I start a new chapter in my “adult life” and it’s pretty overwhelming but I am looking forward to the opportunities that will come my way. :-)
