Learning hand lettering by yourself with only the help of books and inspirations from the web is a skill in itself. It takes more than just writing letters and adding design to master that art. There’s actually a lot more technicalities to it than what most people want to believe. Beginners and enthusiasts alike know this struggle. And it’s exactly for this reason why Learn by ABC was created.
From the history of type, to the difference of fonts and font styles, to the actual process, Learn by ABC truly proves to be the perfect avenue for beginners to elevate their interest for hand lettering. It caters to all their needs – basic knowledge and materials – so they could start turning this hobby into a full-blown skill. As a bonus, this workshop could also play an unconventional getaway from any work- or school-related stress.
Having contributed largely to the creative community, Learn by ABC has also inspired the growth of ABC in general with one major boost being the publication of The ABCs of Hand Lettering – taken from what used to be the workshop guidebook. It’s this change that inspired the shift Learn by ABC will be taking. From having only a basic hand lettering workshop, it will now house a series of workshops tackling basic and watercolor hand lettering, moment collecting, and goal setting – all of which are part of what ABC has come to be about throughout the years.
As it launches this month, you will need to get your drive up for motivation because you are about to be taken on a creative ride with Learn by ABC. Be it discovering your passions, stepping up your hand lettering game, or trying out something new like travel illustration, exploring possibilities is always more fun when you have positive energy and like-minded people around.
Updates and schedules are coming out very soon so make sure to subscribe to the mailing list at http://bit.ly/learnbyabc to get the first dibs.
