I’ve been featuring bits of my workspace over the past months but I haven’t really sorted out my things (until now, yay). I did promise myself to fix it by the end of January and I’d like to think I accomplished this goal *claps for me!*.
Most artists would probably have a really huge desk in their room where all artsy fartsy concoctions happen – but for me, it’s in our attic. Funny how I never thought of this until late last year when I would spend most hours upstairs locked and intently working. I decided then to decorate it and make it more “me”, so yeah, here it is! :D Heavy photo post ahead.
I am always greeted with the scary list of things I have to do every time I head upstairs. (used liquid chalk for this) It keeps me going, in a way, so it’s pretty helpful – although sometimes it haunts me in the worst way possible, lol.
I collect a lot of things when I travel, such as postcards, prints and frames. (Got these from my recent trip to Europe).
What my desk looks like on most days – obviously doing Quirks when I shot this! I love when it’s daylight ‘cause the space seems more conducive for working.
Fun fact: I have a separate desk in the middle of the attic, actually (not in the photo), for all the messy things I do. (It’s like a dirty kitchen if you think about it) And I spend most nights working on said desk (‘cause it’s nearer to the outlet and there’s more light, lol)
Check out that Speedball Textbook – it’s a hand me down lettering book from my mom, who has really beautiful penmanship (I’d like to think I was genetically inclined in that department!).
I keep a stash of books at the corner shelf for references – although some aren’t here because I also have a separate shelf in my room.
The ceiling is shaped like a roof, so I used the right side to stick post cards, art prints, and my scratch map – just so I can keep track on where I’ve been so far.
Butterbeer cup! <3
I used the left side of the ceiling to stick some of my recent events. Here’s a glimpse of Love, Type and my LEAP class schedule.
So basically that’s it! Hope you had fun taking a peek into where I work. Let me know if you’ve done a tour of your workspace: I’d love to see it!
Have a great Sunday! <3
